Provides spiritual, financial and emotional support to those needing help. Clients include parishioners, Mt. Washington residents and other Bullitt County residents (primarily Shepherdsville). Assistance provided may include utilities, food, or other material needs. Clients may call 502-538-0674 leaving a message available 24/7. Outreach members work on a rotating weekly basis by telephone, which allow members to work around their schedules. We provide donations to other SFX ministries such as Garden Ministries, HSYG, and Stewards of Appalachia. We also support Resource Counselors for funds needed for elementary schools. We provide meals for Room at the Inn several times a month, helping support individuals who are rebuilding their lives from homelessness. Also, we have a food pantry located on Stringer Lane, beside the old church on the SFX campus, receiving donations of non-perishable food items, toiletries, etc. The premise is “Take what you need.
